Lump due to penile adhesion

I have a good size lump on the left side of my penis. I saw a Urologist who said it was just a bunch of benign gunk that builds up due to my skin having reattached on that side. He said it was nothing to worry about. However, every few months or so it will start having a very unsettling sensation periodically.

It's very hard to explain the sensation. It never hurts exactly, the closest I can describe it is a surge of itching. It usually lasts just a minute or so and then subsides. This will happen anywhere between zero and three times a day. This will happen pretty consistently for a few moths, then will not happen at all for another few months.

Again, the Urologist said it was nothing to worry about, but I'm just wondering, has anyone ever heard of this? Any ideas on why it might be doing this, how to get it to stop doing it or what to do when it happens? Again, it's not painful but it is very uncomfortable and unsettling. I have another appointment with the Urologist in two weeks, but just wanted to maybe get some advice before then.

Thanks a bunch.
