Urethra burning but not UTI

I have had burning on my urethra for about a week now. I just went to the doctor and my urine came back showing no bacteria in it, therefore ruling out a UTI. I have had many previous UTI's. about 2 weeks ago it felt like I had one but then it went away. I have had UTI symptoms after intercourse but this time it stayed. One day it will hurt when i pee the next day it won't. But the burning or stinging feeling in my urethra won't go away. lots of times its to the point where its so painful i feel like crying. I told the doctor that I have had reoccurring UTI's and he asked if it was a yeast infection.  I have had yeast infection where i was VERY itchy but it went away. I waited for over 3 hours for the doctor so when he came in and wrote me a prescription for pills I just took it because I was fed up with him.

HELP PLEASE!

Thanks In Advance
