Urinary problem

I have cloudy urine occasionally and also frequent urine. I went to the doctor and  I was told that my urine test was normal. He gave me antibiotics and i was alright then but i still see my urine cloudy occasionally. I have been experiencing this since 7 months ago. I am worried that this might be the cause of other sickness and disease. Can a simple urine test tell everything? When my urine was tested, it was clear and that is y the result is negative. Can anyone tell me what problem could it be? I am worried. Thanks in advanced.

I had my urinalysis done last week and it was normal. The doctor said it was probably bladder infection. He gave me anitibiotic for a week. He also took my urine for urine culture. What is that ? I dont really quite understand. Can a simple urine test tell everything about our health? Thank you very much for your information.

How are you?  Cloudy, murky, or turbid urine is due to the presence of any of the following:  presence of bacteria, mucus, sperm, crystal, white blood cells or red blood cells, epithelial cells, fat, or phosphates. Through urinalysis, microscopic blood and infection can be detected. When was your last urine test? You can have it checked again and if there is nothing wrong, how about checking with your gynecologist to rule out other pathology if any? Take care and keep us posted.

Thanks for your information. Does cloudy urine mean blood in the urine too? I have cloudy urine recently and about 2 or 3 times a day but not everyday. I almost eat the same kind of food every day. Why sometimes the urine is cloudy and sometimes its not? Its still a question mark in my mind. I am just worried of any serious sickness.
Your information is appreciated. Thanks for your concern.

Drinking a lot would also lead to frequent urination. Do you have a family history of diabetes? Together with frequent eating and frequent drinking of water or fluids, this can point to diabetes.  Do not be scared of going to the toilet. Others just wear diaper if they have difficulty in this set-up. What a bout the pressure in your lower belly, is this painful? What was your doctor's findings in your last appointment? If you are not comfortable with your situation, you need to discuss this with your doctor for further evaluation.

Take care and regards.

Thanks for your reply. Can I ask a few more questions regarding my urinary problem?  i drink alot of water everyday, a glass every 1 hour. Recently I need to go toilet about 3 times in 1 hour especially in the morning and night after drinking a lot of water. My husband said that maybe i am worried too much and that is why i need to go toilet so many times. The doctor said that i had Urinary tract infection but i dont think i had that as i still urine frequently and sometimes it is even cloudy. This problem really bothers me so much until I am scared of going to toilet now and always think of passing urine all the times. I also feel the pressure on my lower belly after passing urine sometimes. I just went to the doctor last week. Should I go one more time? What could my problem be? I am very worried until cant sleep well in the night.

How are you? Do you drink more than 8 glasses of water everyday? Are there any other symptoms associated with your cloudy urine?

Usually, healthy urine is light yellow. This is because adequate amount of fluids dilutes the urine and gives it a clear appearance. There are several things that can change the color of urine such as vegetables and fruits such as beets, blueberries and asparagus, vitamin B2, food coloring and prescription medications. Sometimes,  cloudy urine is a result of phosphaturia, a benign condition in which excess phosphate crystals form in urine that presents itself after eating, laborious exercise, and especially after severe mental labor. It also occurs largely with night or morning urination wherein no fluids were consumed so urine is more concentrated, which is perfectly natural and no cause for concern.

I hope this helps. Take care and keep us posted.
