oh yeah, it's not my prostate, I had it checked several times...
Hi,
Does this happen at least 25% of the time?
With a partner, do you also experience any problems with arousal and erection?
Do you still get night time erections?
For erectile problems ,underlying physical or organic causes need to be diagnosed first. Nerve problems secondary to spine disorders, diabetes, vascular problems and hormonal imbalance may present with problems in sexual response. If these are not present after a thorough evaluation then , one has to evaluate the presence of psychological factors as a cause.
I understand you are highly anxious about this. I suggest that you have this assessed by a urologist or internist so that you wil be properly assessed.
Hi Vanessa,
Thanks for responding to my post. I'm not sure know how often it happens since I have not had a steady grilfriend lately. It seems like I am find once I can get past the feeling of having to pee - that's the main problem. I don't feel arroused when I have to pee - I may have to go several times to get completely emptied out and get rid of the feeling. Like I said before, their is nothing wrong with the pumbing - once I finally get a arroused, I seem to have a fine errection. Also, I wake up raging hard in the morning when I have to pee. I'm afraid I can't go to a urologist because I don't have any insurace, and can't afford it. I don't know what to do.
Thanks,
Steve
Hi,
This may be an underlying bladder condition. At this point, it will not be wise to suggest any medications since the definite organic or physical cause of the condition is not well defined.
Since a physician consult is not feasible at this point, drinking adequate amount of water everyday and taking 100 % cranberry juice may help. Observe your symptoms as you take the juice. If the symptoms persist then you may opt to stop taking it. An underlying infection may also be present however, it is interesting that this condition is only associated with the erection and there are no associated changes in urine character or associated pain.
Avoid spicy food and also refrain from drinking too much coffee or alcohol. Continue to observe your symptoms. If symptoms persist, I suggest that it is important to seek immediate consult with your doctor.
Hi Vanessa,
Thanks for your help. I guess I need to clarify my condition. It is not only a problem when I am getting arroused. Lately, I feel like I need to pee almost constantly. I go pee, and I still feel like I need to pee - weird feeling at the end of the penis. It is just that the problem has affected my sex life now. The only time I feel satisfied is when I have not peed in a long time, or wake up and pee first thing in the morning. Then I feel comfortable for a little while - then it starts again. I have started drinking more water, and was going to get some cranberry juice today - funny you should mention that. I have been reading online that cranberry is a good antiseptic for infections. I'll let you know how it goes. This problem has been growning for years, so I don't expect it to go away overnight. Thanks again...Steve
