kidney stone

Hi I just recently had a 12mm stone removed from my left kidney took 2 ops(per and lep) but my Doctor was pretty sure all of it had been removed.
My question is will it return and is it true that lemon juice is a good thing to stop it returning?
Also during my intial ultrasound  it showed that I had a "sludge ball" in my gallbladder,
which did move as I moved to left is this something I need to have looked at as from time to time I get a mild pain on my right upper flank just below ribcage?ty for your time!

Hi,
People who develop kidney stones once always have the propensity to develop them again. There’s a saying which goes as “once a stone former, always a stone former.” However, one can always reduce the risk of developing a stone and it can be done by taking adequate amount of fluids daily. A rough estimate of the same can be inferred from the colour of the urine. Make sure that your colour of the urine remains whitish/colourless  just like water. If it’s yellow, it means you are not drinking adequate fluids.
Drinking lemon juice does help in preventing formation of the stones.
I’ll suggest you to get your ultrasound done on regular basis to know the status of your kidneys as well as gall bladder.
The gall bladder stone if present has to be removed only if it’s causing some pain and discomfort, otherwise you don’t need to meddle with it.
I sincerely hope that helps. Please do keep me posted. Kind regards.
