perineal urethrotomy

I have penile cancer.  My oncologist says that it will probably have to be amputated.  I've got it mostly figured out, but I haven't found the answer to one question.  No, I haven't asked my doc.  I'm worried that I will become incontinent once I've had the procedure.  What keeps the pee in once it no longer passes through my penis?

Hello Speedbuggy,

Urination should not bother as long as the treatment of the penile carcinoma is well taken care off. There can be a catheter implantation post surgery and also what is important is the extent to which the shaft of the penis is excised. Later on urethral reconstruction can take place.
