scrotum skin problem

Hi. I am having a discoloration of my entire scrotum. I it uncomfortable as the scrotum is tight most of the time. There is no pain. The discoloration starts at the top of my scrotal skin, right near the penis and goes all the way around my scrotum down to the perineum. I have been tested for chlamydia and gonnorhea and tests came back negative. I don't believe it's the weight lifting supplements that i take. Urologist said it may be jock itch but it's not itchy and i've tried the antifungal stuff for athletes foot/jock itch and the red/brown discoloration remains. I did have a straddle injury but i don't think that is the problem b/c there is no pain, and that happened 9 months ago. Maybe it's from trimming my balls w/ the electric shaver?? Can someone help me out?

thankyou. After the injury, i did not have any complications that were found through any tests i have had. I've had CT scans of the pelvis/abdomen, 2 ultrasounds of the scrotum and many followups with a urologist. I was even tested for stds' since this is so depressing. My scrotum is always tight, doesnt even really loosen up in the heat, but no pain. Is worse during workouts, bowel movements and ejaculation. Since it makes me cold it makes my package small all the time and that's unsettling. What should i do?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi

This red brown discoloration as you have noted is non scaly and not itchy. Also, it does not respond to antifungal creams. You have also mentioned of possible risk factors such as  shaving the area and straddle injury. As for the straddle injury, was there any associated hematoma in the area? If yes, was decompression or surgical drainage done to resolve the hematoma?

This discoloration may be postinflammatory in nature. I suggest that you refrain from shaving the area as this may only cause further irritation of the skin. This may not be something serious. Although discomforting, this may not need urgent intervention.
