Hello,
Bed wetting at night is also called nocturia and since your son has started wetting the bed recently, so it can be due to excess intake of fluids at night, infection, constipation, caffeine intake, insufficient ADH production or diabetes. My suggestion would be to limit his fluid intake at night 1 hour before sleep and if the symptoms persist then get an evaluation done from a urologist.

I hope it helps. Take care and regards.

Has your son had any changes in his life recently?  Even if there is something that you think only effects you or your spouse, your son may be picking up on the situation.  This may cause the bed wetting problem.  Sometimes, not intentionally, a child will begin wetting the bed because it is something that they know and feel that they can control in their life.

Hi,

If he has a large intake of water or fluids, the first thing that comes to my mind is diabetes.
I would have him checked to rule this out. Did the fluid intake increase happen suddenly or has he allways been this way?

All the best,

Ron
