Well first off Anorexia and Bulimia are serious health conditions that shouldnt be taken light heartedly. Second of all I know loads of people who are vegetarian and overweight. It's a balance of proper diet (not crash dieting, it's eating healthier foods), portion control and exercise that will eventually get you to lose and keep the weight off that you want. You have to go about it properly, and not eating at random times isnt proper.
PLEASE READ THIS!!!!!!
this is like a tag-along to my first one (just things I forgot to add)
I also have high blood pressure, and last year about Jan. I was 14 almost 15. I would get nose bleeds and the most random times, and the most lightest touch would give me a nose bleed. My mother was very scared so she took me to the doctors, and I got blood tests, and everything, they said that my fat was seeping into my liver, I don't know how they got that from the blood tests, so don't ask. But it scares me all the time. I haven't been see for that since. I know I should. (I don't get nose bleeds anymore, I just have a overly dry nose, but I guess its was a good thing we went and got it checked out.) I don't know if any of this helps at all, just I thought I should of added this.
I really don't know about the nosebleed issues. If you're still worried, talk to your mom about going back to the doc for a followup.
I can see that you feel limited in what you can do diet-wise because you rely on your family for food. You state that the rest of your family does not have the same weight problem. If you're "stuck" eating their food, why not try to mirror their habits, too? Eat only as much as they eat, and see how you feel. Maybe your portions have just gotten too large, and by mimicking their eating patterns you can re-adjust.
Lots of exercise options are free. Walk more instead of driving/getting rides. Walking is always a great way to start burning more calories.
Ive got some things to help you. I was always the fat one in my family, It $ucks I know.
Im not sure about the liver thing so you should check every option with your doctor first.
As for the problem with your family eating leisurely and you stuck eating what they are....Im in the same boat. MY husband eats everything. 4 pops a day, bacon, take out, THE works! And Im supposed to cook for him? He wont eat anything veggie or healthy related so I make him what he wants, you know, potatoes and steak, lasagne, boritoes...etc. I make that for him, and a huge salad for me. BORING right? yeah, *** some cheese to your salad, light dressing, tomatoes (if you like them) other veggies and have a small portion of what everyone else is having on the side.
DONT look at others, do it for you and not to look a specific way. You will only get made you arent getting results quick enough. all the best, let me know if you have any questions.
