I just took a look at your food tracker. It means you are eating more dietary fiber than you need and not enough protein, fat, or other carbs. In other words, your diet isn't balanced.
You need to add more protein in the form of dairy, meats, beans, etc; and fats, such as olive oil, avocado, nuts (also have protein), etc.
That's very informative. Thank you.
LOL I don't do diet that is under 1000 calories/day. It was a typo. The vitamins that I took was 9:45am and somehow I didn't adjust the am & the pm, so it look like I only done a breakfast and pop in some pills, then call it a day lol. I know that vitamins are not snacks, but I just don't know what category to put it if I don't eat them together with my main meals. Any suggesstion? So anyway, I added what I ate the whole day just now, and still I have too much dietary fiber.
The difference between simple and complex carbs is that simple carbs are broken down quickly for energy and if not used will be stored as fat........
Simple carbohydrates come from:
* Fruits
* Milk and milk products
* Vegetables
Simple carbohydrates are also found in processed and refined sugars such as:
* Candy
* Regular (nondiet) carbonated beverages, such as soda
* Syrups (not including natural syrups, such as maple)
* Table sugar
Complex carbs come from:
* Legumes
* Starchy vegetables
* Whole-grain breads and cereals
To get protein, you can eat legumes, beans, nuts, meat, dairy (low/no fat) including, yogurt, cheeses, chicken, fish, etc. Meat is not bad for you if you opt for cuts with little fat. Meats/dairy are one of the main sources of vitamin B12 which is essential for energy production.
Even though fruits and veggies have simple carbs, they are still good for you because you do need the fiber.
By the way - vitamins are not considered a "snack" and you need to eat more than 300 calories/day. That's a starvation diet, which will cause your body to hold onto fat for fear that there will not be enough food coming in..............
Where can I get more complex carbs? And where can I get protein that doesn't involve a lot of calories and fat? I know that meat have a lot of protein but it also consist of a lot of calories and fat. Hmmm...maybe I should go for either soy product or whey protein drink?
My stools are soft and I do experience hemorrhoids recently. Wow, I never knew why I have hemorrhoids until now. Thanks to the food diary tracker & you that I know now (: Any sugesstions on how to cut down on my dietary fiber consumption?
The only thing I can think of is it is suggesting you are not having a balanced diet and as too many calories are comng from dietry fibre you are not getting enough from complex carbs or protein???
I think too much dietray fiber can cause stools to be to soft and even soft stools can cause heamorrhoids. Thats the only bad thing I can think about. It may also make it harder for the colon to reobsorb vitemins. I dont know. Fiber act like a barrier stopping fats from being reobsorbed back in to body before it is past. It may also stop other good things as well.
