On Dr. Oz, Chris Powell said to figure out how many calories your body burns everyday. Take your weight and multiply by 12. He said if you eat below that number, you will lose weight. For example, if you weigh 140lbs...140x12=1680 to maintain your weight, less to lose.
The first week u will learn what u can eat and feel full and happy and has low calories from what to cannot eat coz simply didn't satisfy u and u still feel hungry. U can check the net for homemade salad dressing that has 12 cal per tbsp and u can always enjoy a big bowl of lettuce with ur dressing and that really makes u full, and u can have after the salad a small sandwich a cup of light soup, u will feel great
Hi I think 2000 is too much. I changed manually to 1500 calories plus more exercising. Those calories what I'm losing when i'm exercising I don't eat back. I'm working out 4 times a week in the gym to get rid of fat. Over three weeks and I have been eating proper meals for lunch and salads or soups for supper. It's working really well and I have lost 4,5 kg. my goal is lose 10-15 kg. Also I recommend to track what you eat. My trainer recommend to do it and it's working really well :)
you could use a body fat monitor, it will tell you what your percentage of body is fat, and that would be far more accurate at tracking fat loss than scales.
Or if you didn't want to get a body fat monitor, you could keep track of your body measurements, as they often are a good indicator of fat loss progress, (although not as accurate as a body fat monitor).
Now how do I know the difference between muscle-weight and fat-weight?
2000 is the amount the average woman needs to maintain her current weight, which is why you may be struggling.
The strictest diet recommended is the 1000 calorie diet, it is best to find somewhere between the 1000 and 2000 where you feel comfortable, not hungry, and that you are happy to maintain.
I am on the 1000 calorie diet, and whist i dearly miss a lot of foods, it is worth it, as i'm currently loosing about 4lbs a week.
It's really about what foods you're ok to live without for a prolonged time.
One of the other reasons it may seem like you haven't lost so much weight, might be that you gained muscle. Because muscle is 3 times the weight of fat you may have lost much more fat than 5lbs worth.
I hope i've managed to give you info you are after, if you would like to know anything else, just let me know. I wish you the best of luck.
