I think somebody is messing with you.
A healthy diet involves lots of vegetables, fruit and lean meat and nuts. Portion control and avoiding sugar and empty calories (such as fast food and sweet drinks) is a sensible way to improve health and lose weight. You don't have to go hungry. I find having veggies at breakfast helps me stay full all morning. Have a snack of fruit. Even a banana is fine as it is filling and full of nutrition.
