Weight Loss Tips

Good Morning,

About two years I started a desk job, and I was used to working on my feet from 6am-5pm at my job before. I do take the stairs and sometimes for lunch or breaks I walk around the building or up and down the stairs. I only eat dinner and snack at night, another wise at work I may eat a bag of chips or little things like that. I only drink soda with my dinner. The issue is though I have packed on 20-40 pounds over those two years.

That is my life, does anyone have any tips about how I can drop at least 15lbs-25lbs and keep it off. I would be grateful for any advice. Also if anyone knows anything about what symptoms you have when you have thyroid issues that would be helpful too.

Thanks for your time,
Unsure

As to the thyroid, effects differ significantly from person to person.  Some have no idea they have a problem until it shows up in a blood test -- my wife had that happen to her.   Mostly she was suffering from things you would attribute to a problem with sexual hormones, but it turned out to be the thyroid, so there you go.  As for the weight gain, you don't mention exercise at all, and the only things you mention you eat, and I'm sure you eat a lot of other things, are things nobody should eat more than very occasionally -- soda and chips.  But basically, you need to start exercising regularly to compensate for sitting around all day.

Well I do walk around during breaks and lunches at work since I dont eat lunch. I honestly dont drink but one soda a day and otherwise I drink water. Eating during the day I eat a bag of chips from the vending machine. The dinners I make I try to keep healthy. I love soup, and my husband loves tacos. I enjoy fish but I dont fry it I bake it. My husband made a good point though I tend to snack during the night a little chips, or an ice cream cone and then sleep on it.
You still haven't mentioned exercise to compensate for the movement you've lost with your new job.  You need to get out and move as much as you're able, as humans aren't good at being sedentary at least as far as health is concerned.  Snacking a moderate amount makes life liveable, so you don't need to become an ascetic, but you do need to move.
Sorry I didnt realize I started a trian of thought and skipped part of it. I meant I walk around the buidling or up and down the stairs (9flights) during my two 15 min breaks and 30 min lunches. Is that not enough?
No.
