How can I eat less for breakfast?

I used to eat about 1500kcal of food for breakfast. I just can't stop eating. :(
Can anybody give me suggestion to control eating too much? Thanks.

When you're scooping peanut butter out of the jar, it's difficult to tell when you have a serving.  I've been buying it in the individual serving containers, so I don't eat more than one serving.  Paired with an apple or celery, it's an excellent snack because of the protein.

Potato chips are my "binge" food. We usually have them in the house, because my husband eats them, too and since he's tall and slim, he doesn't have to watch what he eats.  If I don't start eating them or if I have a few with a sandwich for lunch, I'm fine, but if I eat them as a snack, I eat way to many.

I try to stop when the normal serving is gone, but since I'm all about "volume", it's not that easy. I have to choose a lot the foods that are "free", like veggies.

Another tip is to lay your fork/spoon down between each bite.  It takes longer to eat that way, so your brain has a chance to register fullness.  I was so used to 30 minute lunch times, when I worked, that I really have to force myself not to eat too fast.

Missed the peanut butter on toast!  I actually stopped buying peanut butter for a while because I just went crazy and would eat too much of it.  Not sure why . ..   and now I can buy it and this doesn't happen.

So, I do really alter my grocery list based on what I can handle.  If I bought donuts every time I went to the grocery---  I would eat them all.  I just know this about myself.  So, I don't buy donuts.  I have a friend that does that with sugar added cereal.  She'll eat like three bowls of it.  So, she doesn't buy it so that it is not a temptation.

I actually stop eating when the normal serving is gone.  I don't keep going as it takes roughly 20 minutes for a full stomach to begin to register in our brain and by then, we've over eaten.  So, I portion it out and that's it.  I don't go in for seconds.  (well, occasionally . . .  I'm not perfect.)

I agree that you should stop buying the  butter cookies and almond chocolate.  If you can't control your intake of those things, it's best not to even have them in the house.  6 pieces of peanut butter toast is also a bit over the edge.  Peanut butter is good for you and has a lot of protein, but it's also got a lot of fat. Maybe one slice of whole grain toast with one serving of peanut butter.

Oatmeal, banana and milk is better.  You shouldn't eat until your stomach is full.... stop eating when you are no longer hungry.

Well, one thing you can do is stop buying butter cookies and chocolate.  Things that trigger over eating in my house and aren't healthy like that, I don't have in the house!

Then you'll have options that are less appealing and you'll eat the right amount.  A bit of protein is perfect to start your day so be sure to have some of that (hard boil some eggs for the week and things lie that).

Also, if you have somewhere to go first thing in the morning, it helps.  I have to get out the door many mornings and on those days--  I grab the hard boiled egg and banana or orange or whatever fruit I have and run.

good luck

For breakfast, I drink a glass of milk, around 20 pieces of butter cookies and around 6 pieces of almond chocolate.
Sometimes , I can 6 pieces of peanut butter toast.

I just can't stop eating until my tummu gets REALLY FULL.
Maybe I try to have a glass of milk, oatmeal and a banana for breakfast.

Cook breakfast.  Be sure to add vegetables and protein.  Avoid sugary foods or bread type foods.  For a mid morning snack, have  a piece of fruit.

Are you sure you're eating THAT much?  That's more than many of us need for an entire day.

Can you give us an idea of what types of food you're eating and how much of each?

If you eat more high protein foods, you will stay fuller longer.  Protein can be in the form of meat, dairy, eggs, beans, etc.  Veggies have a lot of fiber (complex carbohydrate), so they, too can keep you fuller.

Avoid sugary foods, sodas, white breads and other things made from white flour.  Make water your drink of choice.

And of course, get some exercise.
