Wear loose clothing and forget losing weight quickly.
It's neither safe, nor sustainable.
It took you a long time to get overweight, so it's gonna take some time to lose it.
But again, if you stick to a good nutritional plan and an exercise program, you should be able to safely lose a pound per week, barring any other factors such as hypothyroidism. In 6 months you could be 26 lb lighter!
Avoid simple carbs and sugars -including artificial ones-
like the plague.
Opt for lots of fresh salads, greens and vegetables.
Do not even think about fast food, prepared foods, baked goods, convenience and junk foods etc. You know what I mean.
Include some high quality protein and some healthy fats,
but stay away from too many starches, like potatoes, breads and such.
Start a walking program and walk everyday as briskly as you can, starting at 1/2 an hour each outing and aiming for 1h +
Make sure you warm up and cool down and stretch every time!
Stay always well hydrated by drinking lots of spring water,
about 1 hour away from meals.
Join a gym, talk to a trainer to help you get into a light weight training routine in combination with some cardio exercises.
Post again if you have any questions, however, most of these concepts could be researched easily on your own.
Check with your doctor first, if you have any serious underlying conditions.
Best wishes,
Niko
