I say a cheat day is a must every so often just dont go overboard, have what you want for taste but in moderation also just make sure you work out and if you gain a pound or 2 its ok just get back in the game and those 1-2lbs will come off fast normally its just water weight any ways cus you did something diff, but its your b-day have fun w/it, Happy B-day
Every 3500 calories over what you burn off is a pound of fat you gain.
Thanks a bunch! I'll keep that in mind. Ya I'm sure just a 30 hours I'll be fine. Might gain about a half a pound but what ever. I already kinda cheat myself. If there's a 90 calorie snack I add 100 to the calculator. Just so that 10 isn't hunting me. Plus I do go over somtimes so it dosent hurt at all. Again, thanks. :)
Hi Libby,
I've been in your situation before. I had a Halloween party and I was so afraid of what people were going to bring for food and what I would be able to eat etc. Thank goodness for hungrygirl.com and also weightwatchers website. I always save their party recipes so I can keep them in mind. At the party people brought A LOT of candies and Cupcakes, pizza, etc. To make things easier on myself, I ate a small dinner before the party so I wasn't starving, If i wanted a snack I had my 'baked 70 calorie chips' in a noticeable color bowl and filled the candy bin with those weight watcher chocolate turtles (i think they are 2 pts each) so if i wanted a sweet I was able to go for it.
Otherwise- i don't think a cheat day is bad at all, just easy does it and don't over do it. Sometimes you won't notice any weight gain if its one day because your body can handle it. If you need caffeine to stay awake stick w/black coffee or diet coke.
For my birthday, i was on such a strict diet I told family and friends that I wanted fruit and low fat ice cream instead of cake, and they respected my decision. Good Luck and happy birthday!
