Sunday Weigh In - Feb 27, 2011

Hello, everyone; how are we all doing this week?

As some of you know, I was in quite a funk this past week - thanks to those who sent messages - and wasn't on here much at all. I do apologize for that.  I had to work 10 hr days last week, which is always hard to do, but then some other things came up at work, that may affect whether or not I get to retire this fall.  It was really depressing, to put it mildly.

As for my weight, I'm on the 3rd week of holding at 147; not going down, but not going up, either.  I'm sort of okay with it, but not really, because I know I could have lost, if I'd put my mind to it; in fact, at one point during the week, I was actually down by 2 pounds, but I stopped eating properly, and gained it back. Shame on me.

Another thing is that with working the 10 hr days, I didn't get home early enough in the afternoon, to walk like I do every day.  My schedule is a bit bizarre anyway - I get up at 3:30 am and have to go to bed by about 7:30 pm; when I work the 10 hr days, I have to get up at 3:00 am and go to bed by 7:00 pm (or earlier).  This past week, I didn't get home until almost 4:30 pm, and since I'm not supposed to eat within 3 hrs of bedtime (due to acid reflux), it was really hard to juggle things around.  One evening, I did come home and fix dinner, but I suffered with acid reflux all night for it,  so the rest of the week, I tried to eat a late lunch, and skipped dinner, which is not so good either, since I was beyond hungry by morning, so unable to eat breakfast.  By the time, I got home, I was SO tired, all I wanted to do was fall into bed.

At any rate, I've got my fridge restocked with fresh lettuce, tomatoes, grapes, strawberries, and apples, so I'm going to make up some salads today and have them in the fridge, ready to grab and go this week.  I'm also going to boil some eggs to have ready for breakfast, with a protein drink; I'm thinking about making a couple days worth of protein drinks ahead, but not sure if that will work; maybe I'll try it just once.

Anyway, that's where I'm at right now.  I'm coming out of my funk, so am confident that this week HAS to be better than last...........

So --- how about all you guys?  I read through last week's weigh in, and it sounds like everyone had a pretty good week before. Congratulations to everyone who lost.  Here's hoping this past week was good, as well.

Wishing everyone a happy, successful week.

Remember, there are no failures; only set backs

The Arriba Wellness club isn't a gym type thing, it's more of a relaxed diet class.  They take my BMI, inches, weight and a few other things to help spur you on rather than focusing all on your weight.  you can also either do their diet or they help you with one you are on by telling you what you are doing right and wrong.

I'm not 100% sure of the above but i'll find out more tomorrow.  I was watching Biggest Loser last night and i was totally shocked that so many people could lose between 4 and 8stones in 21 weeks, i think there deffo has to be more exercise put into my diet and cutting down if not cutting out my junk altogether.  i've got a really sweet tooth and it can be so hard and the mood swings so terrible when i can't get my "fix"

At least you stayed the same, instead of increasing; that's a good thing............. Now, how can we convince you to dislike chocolate and cakes??   LOL         Is it safe to assume that the Arriba wellness club is a gym type place?  I'm wishing you the very best luck......

go girl.......

congrats to all who lost weight this weight, and good luck to all those who put on weight i wish you every success for next week.

I stayed the same this week 211lbs, i'm starting the Arriba wellness club on Wednesday of this week so hoping this can spur me onto a weight loss as i feel i'm getting nowhere and i am easily swayed with chocolate and cakes, i'm hoping the help and support of others helps me get back on track.

Again good luck everyone for next week :)

Wow -- how great on the 3.2 loss; yep, I agree that you need to keep that dress in sight; that will probably be a good deterrent from the food.  In addition, make sure that your have "good" food on hand, so you don't resort to the junk......

You go, girl........

Hello there Barb,  I understand those long days I had 2 days of 12 hours and that was hard w/the eating, great job on not gaining,  some time we stay the same and that is ok the lose will come.

as for me I am still on track this week I am down 3.2, so that much closer to my first goal hope to keep it up this week is going 2 be hard my visitor came today and I tend to really crave bad things but I am going 2 try real hard to say no and just keep looking at my dress that I want to look good in, in May just been really making sure I dont have any junk food and stay w/in my Cal range so crossing my finger that this week I can keep it up,
