Sunday Weigh In - October 16, 2011

Okay kids, here we are, with another week under our belts..I can't believe how fast this year has gone.

Anyway, I'm holding steady, once more, in the weight department - at 144, for the 4th week in a row.  Well, that's what the scale said this morning, though most of the week, I've been sitting at 142-143; not sure what's going on. At least I didn't gain, so I won't argue much.

I'm a week into my retirement and have yet to have a day to myself.  Most of you know that I've been dealing with my elderly Aunt, who recently fell and fractured her hip and has been in rehab for the past couple of weeks.  Things were not working out at the facility she was in, so on Friday, we had to move her to another one.  She has a ways to go, but we are hoping that her rehabilitation will go more smoothly now.

The worst part about moving Auntie is that she's much further from our house than she was, so visiting her daily is going to more difficult.  We may have to cut back on our visits; only go a few times/week vs daily.

Anyway, because of the time spent dealing with Auntie and her issues, once again, I've had no time for exercise, which is not helping my weight loss effort.  My winter neighbor, will be arriving late Tues, and I'm sure we will begin walking daily, like we do every winter when she's here.

As far as eating, I'm doing fine with keeping the calories in check, so won't have to make a lot of changes there.

So -- how about everyone else?  How are you doing with your weight loss journey?  Anything we can do to help motivate you?

Here's wishing everyone a wonderful and successful week.

Remember, we win by losing......... weight!!

I know you just had the knee replacement -- I didn't even expect you to post this morning...... LOL

You can claim the "swollen" for a while, but then you have to give it up... :-)

Hi.....my scale is upstairs and I am still prohibited from doing stairs.  IDK if you want this weight, but the morning of my surgery, I had lost 1 pound for the week.

If I weighed right now, I would be up SEVERAL, lol.  I have MUCH swelling from the surgery.  My left leg is swollen from hip to ankle.  It is worth it, though :)    I am so happy to have my new knee !
