Yep, I spent all that time typing and you're the first taker I've had... welcome aboard.
I don't know our age, but for some of us, running isn't all it's cracked up to be, anyway. It's very high impact and can be hard on the feet, ankle and leg bones. My "off and running" was a figure of speech...
Walking is far better for us and we don't have to walk very far or very fast for it have an impact on our weight... We don't even have to do it all at once every day. We can walk 10 minutes at a time 2-3 times/day if we want to.
Have you ever tried yoga? I try to work a little of that in every day, as well. You can check out YouTube for lots of videos for how-tos and it's really kind of fun... When I first started doing it, I felt like a clumsy oaf, but it didn't take long to start getting the hang of it and the more you do, the better you get...

DAVacik - I walk about 2.5 miles most days... I've been doing that for a while and my body is getting used to it, now, so it's time to either increase or add something else to my routine. Maybe I'll add something else... a little strength training to build muscles in the upper body, as well. Yep, sounds good to me!!
So we know DAVacik is walking, what about everyone else?

Just to be sure... has everyone logged their starting weight? Whether you're keeping track of if, here on the weight tracker or in your own notebook or just on a sheet of paper someplace. You'll need to keep track so you know where you start and where you end up....

I'm in! I've been on a bunch of new meds and hospital visits that have added 25 lbs to my frame. For the past three months I've been on the WW diet and managed to lose 15 lbs. Now I just need friends to help me lose the other 10 lbs. Thanks for starting this community.
Hi, am I too late to join? I'm 74 and have an arthritic hip which curtails my activities. I need to lose 28 lbs. to ease my walking. I have a reasonable idea of healthy eating but my big problem is portion control. I need friends to keep me on the straight and narrow. I also have a problem with flexibility. Has anyone any ideas from improvement? Thanks.
