Welcome.
You don't say how tall you are or anything. The diet plan you have laid out does not seem to have enough calories/nutrients.
I'd suggest that you explore the food diary here on MedHelp - when you set it up, you will input information regarding yourself and it will tell you how many calories you need to sustain your current weight. To lose, just create a calorie deficit - usually eating about 500 calories/ day less is about right. You want to focus on slow steady loss.
Make changes to your diet that you can live with for the rest of your life - I don't think steamed chicken, broccoli and potatoes are something you are going to stick with for a long time.
Try to incorporate ALL kinds of foods, including lean meats, plenty of fruits and veggies, low fat dairy, whole grains, etc. Make breakfast your largest, best meal of the day - that will help keep you going. Try to make sure you get lots of protein and some fiber with every meal as they will keep you feeling fuller longer.
Concentrate on making SMALL changes to start with - like just cutting out cookies, candies, and other "sweet treats" and sodas. Drink plenty of water - 3 bottles/day might not be enough - depends on the size of each...... Just make sure you keep your body hydrated and if you cut your calories too much, your body will think it's not going to get any more food and will go into "starvation mode", where it hangs onto fat, rather than letting it go.
Remember - "small changes, baby steps"....... Losing approx 1-2 pounds/week is considered "normal", more than that might not be healthy.
Your exercise sounds good - just make sure you mix it up as your body will get used to the same thing every day and it will no longer be a challenge so you won't be working the muscles properly.
Good luck and stay with us.
Have you heard of Atkins? I'm not on it, but my older cousin is. She lost over 30 pounds in 3 months. You cut out carbs, and caffeine, diaries and sugars. I might suggest you to try it. But of course you should do a little research on it first! But by the way you're eating now, you should be doing great. + Just dancing to music in your living room, will help the weight (that is what my doctor always tells me to do). But good luck on your losing!
