Weightloss

How much weight can you lose giving up bread for lent? I'm 118 pounds and am not necessarily looking to lose more weight but i'm taking bread out of my diet for 40 days.

I agree that if it's not a real big part of your diet you won't see much difference.  If you, typically, eat a lot of bread and don't replace it with other carbs/calories, you'll probably lose weight, but if you do replace those calories with something else, you should maintain, as long as you don't replace them with too many calories.

Are you giving up everything in the bread group, or just bread?  Curious as to why you chose bread to give up.

Interesting... be sure to keep us posted

Yes!  This is like a case study!!  If it wasn't a huge part of your diet, you won't notice much.  If you ate bread at every meal and 4 rolls for dinner, you'll notice it.  And if you begin craving other carbs in the bread's place . . .  then will you maintain or gain?  Let us know what happens.

Actually that's an interesting question.  Do you loose weight or do you replace the calories/carbs with something else?  Keep us posted on what happens.
