Sunday Weigh In - Apr 24, 2011

Happy Easter to everyone............

Wow, I can't believe another week has gone by.  Wondering how everyone is doing.

I'm doing okay, but not great!!  I did drop back from 148.4, last week to 147.4, this week, so that's an improvement.  I made the weekly visit to my Aunt yesterday, so of course, we went out to breakfast, which is one of her favorite activities.  I didn't do too badly in the calorie dept - opted for eggs and an english muffin, over pancakes with syrup!!

We did not have plans for Easter today, so I am cooking just for my husband and myself. We found a really nice, lean roast, which I will put in the oven, with potatoes, carrots and onions.  I'm looking forward to that later on. Of course, I will probably eat too much!!

My neighbor, with whom I  have been walking every day, has now left to go back to OR for the summer; therefore, I'll have to get my treadmill oiled and ready to go, along with my yoga dvd's and the Wii Fit.  It will only be another few weeks and I will have to be going to "summer hours", which means working 4-10 hr days, rather my usual 5-8 hr days.  The 10 hrs always leave me so much more tired, so I'll have to make every effort spending the next few weeks gearing up that.

Aside from that, I'm doing as well as can be expected.

Okay - now it's your turn -- how did you do this past week?  Do you have plans for a large Easter dinner, and have you left room in your diet to allow for a bit of "splurge" today?

Wishing everyone a great week.

Remember - there are no failures; only set backs........

By the way - stay out of the Easter baskets............. LOL

Brice - I get up at 3:30 am now, and when I start my 10 hr days, I'll be getting up about 2:45 or so, in order to have time to get ready for work and drive there; can't really see myself getting up earlier to work out; that would make it almost not worth going to bed. I currently get home about 3:00 pm, but have to go to bed by 7:00 or 7:30 in order to get up at 3:30.  During the summer, I don't get home until after 4:00 pm and am usually in bed by 6:00 -6:30.  Doesn't even leave time to clean house, do laundry, cook, etc.

I'll do a good cleaning before I start summer hours, then will be able to let housework "slide" some........ that will free up some time.

I'm kinda like you, only I don't go to the gym; once I start a workout, I'm good to follow through with it.

Just a hint about being tired and still getting your workout in.... will you have time to get the workout out of the way early in the morning before work?  That works for a lot of people.  You do it first while you still have the energy....

For me, regardless of the time of day and what my schedule has in store for me, the hardest part of my workout is getting to the gym.  After I am there, its no sweat!

Good luck and stay at it!
