When you get the whey protein shake mix, pick up some fresh/frozen fruit to add to them. Also try a tablespoon of peanut butter, tsp of vanilla or other flavorings. You can get a serving of fruit and healthy fat, right along with the protein.
Every meal, whether a replacement shake, or a regular meal should include protein, complex carbs and "good" fat.

I did meal replacement for 3 months to lose weight to get into a dress for a wedding. that was last year. I lost 17lbs, and the wedding was great.
However, sad to say, I have put back the weight and a lot more. No self control. But the meal replacement does work.
Consider making green smoothies. You can get recipies on line. It would utilize greens and whole fruits and healthy oils. Make a batch and it could be your healthy snack or meal replacement for a day or two. Then make a fresh batch.
