I definately understand, when I used to work at McDonalds if was tough not snagging a fry here and there. I take a cooler/ lunchbox w/ me with a healthy snack to hold me over till I can get home or even pack a lunch.  I always leave the house with it so I'm not temped to hit a drive though to feee myself and the kiddies.

I agree with flieman, that amount of weight in such a short goal is not realistic and potentially dangerous. I recommend the book Clean Eating by Tosca Reno. Get most of your food from veggies and lean protein, complex carbs and lean protein at every meal. You will loose wait, you will be full from all the fiber and you will KEEP THE WEIGHT OFF. If you manage to eat 400 calories every day for three months you'll gain it right back with extra. Plus your body will destroy muscle trying to feed itself so you'll look "skimy fat" with no tone and p.s. the HEART is a muscle(you might not wanna damage that). I'm rooting for your success!!

Losing 50 pounds in 3 months would be incredibly hard and unhealthy. You would be starving yourself. Your metabolism will slow down to keep you from starving and then gain all the weight back once you start to eat again. A 1-2 lb. loss per week is not only healthier but, you will keep the weight off. Increase consumption of fruits, vegetables and whole grains while starting an exercise program. Cardio alternated with weight training of some sort will boost your metabolism and create more muscle, burning more calories without trying. It took time to gain the weight....give yourself time to lose it in a healthy way. Good Luck!

You don't need to starve, but you may need to cook more so you will have healthy leftovers available when you need quick food instead of whatever fast food or snacks you were eating before.

It is all about making substitutions for your unhealthy foods and working in more vegetables and whole fruit (not juice) so you still have foods to grab when you need them.  There is a big benefit in that your blood sugar will even out and you won't have the highs and lows.  But if you are eating cake and cookies and candy and soft drinks, stopping those will leave you feeling down for a week or so.  It gets easier after that.  Cut up veggies to have available.  Have fruit as a snack.  Even a banana is fine - it is healthy and filling and full of fiber and potassium.  An apple a day is good for you.  I like sugar snap peas for a crunchy snack.  Hummus comes in many flavors.  I like Sabra brand.  Try making turkey chili with lots of kinds of beans and vegetables like sweet corn, sweet onion, lima beans, diced tomatoes with tomato sauce.
