It is hard to say because I don't know your weight or health. Usually that is a good range to go when wanting to lose weight. I would not go less calories then that. If you eat too few calories your body will start to store fat. It's more about the type of food you eat, get the right amount of proteins and good carbs etc.
Your calorie needs depend on your current height, weight, and age, along with your activity level.
