There are some veggies that I have been suprised to see calcium in them as well like spinach & rhubarb. I had always associated it with dairy only.
Thanks .me to and I'm trying to quit sodas I know there not good for me also I can't drink milk so I've started drinking soy milk to get my calcium
Glad to hear you've kept up with it! Drinking the correct amount of water is pretty much my May goal.
Thank you for your response I got some green tea and started drinking it I'm getting better at drinking more water now and if I put ice in it the same kind I can Manage to drink quite a bit I'm not exactly where I need to be with it but I have improved
Ok I have a question to you use the cucumber and the lemon together or separate ?
thanks so much the cucumber and lemon sound great. I know my kids drink water down and it just hard for me and I know if they don't see me drink it they are going to start thinking why do I have to drink this if she don't
Me too! I really have to force myself to drink even a glass a day. It amazes me how I have managed to get my kids to drink so much of it! I don't like any of the flavored waters either. So I count unsweetened green tea & green iced teas as water. ^_^ We make it fresh at home. It may not be as good as straight water, but it's better than most other things!
I saw on a show one time to slice up cucumber and lemon. It's supposed to make it taste like watermelon. I used to dislike water too but now I drink 8 glasses a day straight from the tap without ice. I drink 16 oz at a time and get it out of the way. I never realized until this past year how important water really was.
add sugar or a "pure light" packet to it to flavor it.
Check out your grocery store - Crystal Lite has a variety of flavors you can try; or just drop in a slice of lemon to make it refreshing. You can also add a splash or 2 of fruit juice to your glass, but be careful not to add more than a splash or you will be adding more calories.
I use orange squash - a sugar free cordial which as to be diluted with 8 parts water to one part squash.
