????

I am married and have a two year old, when I was pregnant I got stretch marks on the top of my vagina and they were itchy just like my stomach. I recently started having itching in my bikini line (i have a few stretch marks there as well) and I thought maybe my body was just changing (or it was the stretch marks again) and it was getting a little dry around there and it was causing it to itch because it looked dry and anytime I wash it kinda irritates the bikini line where my stretch marks are. I work a pretty active job running around all day and gettin sweaty too. Im 26 and woke up last night scratching my bikini line! Its gettin pretty painful for work from the scratching in my sleep, Ive been using cortizone cream on it too. It helps until I go to the bathroom and have to wipe. I dont have discharge, I dont have any STDS I've been tested. I wear a panty liner due to a slightly weak bladder since preg and cotton panties. Could
i be suffocating my vaginal area w panty liners and its causing this???? I have no clue and no one to ask except a dr and i really just hope this is something some women go thru and can self treat. Any idea what this could be?

Thank you! I didnt have anyone to ask really, and I felt toooooo uncomfortable asking my mom this is a wonderful site i always have questions lol!!! i will def try out your suggestions and i also think I'll lay off the fabric softner for a bit too to see if thats causing it, it just crossed my mind! I have been sick lately and wearing those panty liners for when i would have deep coughs and a lil leakage....Its not as bad as when I was preg with a 10lb baby but I still hate it of course!

Oh I forgot to mention- make sure you wear all cotton underwear. It allows better breathing and isn't as irritating as lace can be.

It's quite possible it's caused from the panty liner. I get rashes quite often because I'm allergic to perfume and many friends and public toilets have scented toilet paper.. so I get an allergic reaction. Also I hate using tampons and have very sensitive skin so a week on my period does cause a bit of a rash.

I'd suggest skipping over the cortizone cream, I have found baby diaper rash stuff to be a LOT more effective at soothing and removing the rashes.

As far as your inconstance goes have you tried kegel exercises? (Tensing up your bladder muscles like you're holding in a pee then releasing.) My mom is notorious for the laughing until tears fall down her legs/sneezing fits leading to "oh crap!" runs to the bathroom. Kegels paired with a medication have worked very well for her. Kegels will also help strengthen and tighten those muscles in your pelvic floor. The medication she is taken is for pretty severe cases and does have some side effects so try kegels before talking to your dr about medical intervention.

The itching is only mostly on the left side in my bikini line but if i get hot and sweaty both sides. When I woke up scratching it was on the left side.
