Where were you looking that gave you THAT information?
Your uretha leads from your bladder to the outside of your body. It has absolutely NOTHING to do with your uterus and your menstrual cycles.
As a young woman basically just beginning your lifetime of menstrual cycles, your hormones are totally whacky........bit like an out of control roller coaster, if you will. Your periods can change from month to month for quite a few years until they settle into a routine. (I think I already said that, bear with me, Toots, I'm getting older by the minute!)
As an older woman, when I was basically coming to the end of my lifetime of menstrual cycles, my hormones were totally whacky.......bit like an out of control roller coaster, if you will. My periods changed from month to month for quite a few years until they just stopped........................as they begin, so do they end.
If you are still bleeding tomorrow, see a doctor. He/she may put you on a mild birth control pill to help regulate your periods, but first they will rule out anything that may be wrong, which I'm sure there isn't. Or, they may have you wait until your next period and see what happens with that one before deciding about the BC pills.
Keep me posted, OK?

Thanks. This really helped. Everything i've looked up said i had some uretha disorder?? But this made me feel alot better about the situation. (: Thanks.. Again (:
Can you talk to your mum about this? Very often daughters will have the same kinds of periods their mothers do, so if this happened to your mum once in awhile, it's probably just a fun (?) thing you have in common.
Some times if we have a light period one month, it means we didn't expell all the lining in the uterus, so frequently the next month we have a longer, heavier period as our body gets rid of the excess. I think the fact that you aren't cramping lends credance to that theory. Also bear in mind that you're only 16 and even if you've had your period for a few years, it often takes until we're into adulthood that we settle into a really regular cycle and for each of us that can mean something totally off the wall.
BUT.......and I don't want to scare you, 10 days of bleeding CAN be a sign of a problem, at your age it's most likely related to your hormones, but I really recommend you speak with your mum and if it doesn't stop in the next day or two at most, I'd advise seeing a Gyno.
(And you young women wonder us old women absolutely LOVE menopause!) HA!
You'll be fine, I promise.
