You might be able to hold it back with something. I looked this question up in hopes of getting answers too but some people reply thinking that it'll help to tell us to just be confident. Trust me nobody will notice in jeans unless they really look for it. Nobody should be staring at your crotch anyway. If you wear a tight skirt try to wear tights and biker shorts underneath because that can hold it back enough. Then stand with one leg out too so nobody can see it. It's very hard to see when walking. In bathing suits, it's pretty noticeable though which sucks. Save up your money if you want a liposuction. It costs like 600-1000 dollars.
I gotta tell ya, most people really aren't looking at a mons pubis of anyone else. Some men find it sexy. But other than that, no one really looks or cares. Give yourself some time to find this out on your own. I am highly surprised to hear anyone 'points it out'. Maybe a friend in jest. Clothes in general disguise a lot of things. Otherwise, as Annie says, losing some weight an help. But our basic anatomy and body is ours to own. Good luck!
You're 17, and 17-year-olds are sometimes pretty self-conscious. So let's check that. Are you getting feedback that your mons pubis sticks out all the time? Is it from someone sympathetic to you who is trying to help you, or from someone in your life who thinks it would be entertaining to make you feel bad? Do people notice this all by themselves or do you ask them and then they look, and then they agree they can see it?
How's your weight overall? You wouldn't be able to spot-reduce a mons pubis, but people who lose weight lose it all over the body, including the mons pubis.
If this is a real issue and your mons pubis is a lot fattier than some other girls you know and a whole lot of people have confirmed that they notice, you have two options other than surgery. One is to style around it. There are lots of different shapes of jeans; try every single one before you say you can't wear any of them. Or, try some other kind of sporty pants. (I even own a pair of leggings that has a skirt like a pencil skirt but shorter -- it would hide a lot of mons pubis.) You can also wear long shirts. You can wear a dress over tights. You can wear those baggy linen harem pants popular in summer with crop tops. There are a lot of choices. Don't limit yourself to tight jeans "or else."
The other choice is (and this is much tougher for a 17-year-old) to say screw it, I don't care what "people" say, and wear clothes you like and feel comfortable in. If you're in a cruel world where you get taunted constantly, that would be hard, but if you're in a relatively polite world it might be that you could confidently carry off the attitude, and people would live with how you look. Others aren't really as interested in us as we think they are, anyway. (Except if your sister gets a lot of mileage from teasing you.)
