I haven't had my period in 4 months. What's happening?

I've had my period for a year now and July 16 was the last time I had my period, it's now November 4 and I still haven't had another one. I've lost seven pounds since July but I don't think that's why. I was 106 pounds and over the summer I progressively lost a little weight. Meaning in July I was probably 104ish pounds. I don't think I've lost enough weight to not have my period because of that. Can someone help?

It’s best to ask your doctor about this. I’ve experienced having my period once every four to five months so I had to ask my doctor. She said I had hormonal imbalance and made me take pills. I’ve been getting my period monthly now as long as I take it. Hope this helps!

How old are you?  Being underweight in general can be a reason for hormones to not function properly (which is required for a regular period).  I would talk to your doctor about this.  You may need the pill to get things to kick into gear.  good luck
