Black Discharge & Uterus Pain

I have been on birthcontrol pills since january but have had to change a few times due to experiencing the side effects of the different pills (3 types total) I occasionally have sex without a condom with my boyfriend but have never missed or been late with a pill. I recently went to the doctor to switch to the nuva ring which i have not started yet and because i am having pain in my uterus (she put me on an anabiotic for a UTI). thursday-saterday i experiences white/clear discharge and sunday i got my period (expected and on time) but it is not like a normal period, it is much lighter then normal and it consists of dark/ stringy discharge and only a little bit of blood spotting on the 4th and 5th day. I finished the prescription on the 4th day of my period/ Wednesday but am still having Uterus pain. Is it possible i could be pregnant or is there something else wrong with me?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,

This dark bleeding can be due to implantation bleeding which occurs due to implantation of the fertilized egg in uterus lining. If the intensity of bleeding increases then please get evaluated for any miscarriage and if there is no further spotting then get your serum HCG levels checked to confirm the status of your pregnancy.

Other than that it can be due to hormonal imbalance caused by changing the birth control pills also.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

sounds nasty. go see your dr sooner rather than later. would'nt imagine your pregnant if your period came on time. might have something to do with an infection somewhere or all the change of medication u have had. find out and all the best
