Bleeding- Spotting

I need help understanding the difference between implantation bleeding and my regular period. I have been TTC for a couple of months (actively) but trying for about a year. I had what I thought was my AF on Friday 8/14-8/17 2009. I went to the restroom a bit ago and saw light pink blood almost like spotting, I am trying to see if what I thought was AF was actually implantation bleeding or is it just left over from AF as I thought I was done with AF. Please respond as I have not taken a HPT since I thought AF came this month.

Did you have to wear a pad or anything? I think inplantation bleeding is very light, not heavy and I dont think it should last serveal days. Take a test to make sure. I've had my period each month, but I suspect pregnancy since June. I'm taking a test tomorrow AM.
