Blood clots days after period normal?

Hi everyone. I am 22 years old with a 19 month old. I have always had very regular periods that last about 5 days. Yesterday and today I have been experiencing blood clots every time I use the restroom(size of quarters or smaller). It seems to be coming out in pieces at a time. It's been almost 2 weeks since my period started so I should have been done with my period days ago! I have been also been experienced light stomach pain and constipation and some pretty severe back pain. I'm not sure if either have anything to do with another. This has never happened to me. Does anyone know if I should be worried? Or what it could be? I plan to call my OB/GYN tomorrow but I didn't think about it until after they closed today and I'm just curious as to what this could be. TIA

yeah the reason why I recommended to get your thyroid levels checked is that I always had heavy periods, with the big blood clots. later down the road, after I had a medical incident, I found out I was hypothyroid and had Hashimoto's thyroiditis which caused it. Being hypo causes blood clots during your period and a lot of women get hypo after pregnancy (hence the brain fog, fatigue, etc). The only thing is I would recommend you find a functional medicine doctor to check your thyroid levels right because many conventional and OBGYN docs don't do it right and they will just brush it off!! If you want anymore info, just let me know!

Definitely go and see your gyno to rule out anything, and get a vaginal ultrasound. Another thing, get your thyroid hormones checked. Have you been feeling fatigued at all consistently?
