Brown Spotting a week after period while on yaz?

For the past two months, a week after my period, I have been getting brown spotting. The night before the spotting occurs I get headaches and feel sick. I take my birth control (YAZ) as directed and I have been on it for about a year and a half. The spooting only last about a day or two, but I have never had it do this before. Is this normal? I have heard a lot of bad stuff about Yaz also, should I change birth control?

I used to take YAZ a long time ago. Got pregnant and had a miscarriage. If I were you I would stop taking YAZ. It's been all over TV on how bad it is for you. Look it up. YAZ is the worst birth control out there and has done a lot of damage. I switched to the NUVA RIng. No weight gain, no chemicals, stays in for one month. I take mine out during intercourse, but it's still affective for three hours. Once were ready to have kids just take it out and keep it out and within a month or two (a friend of mind was pregnant in 3 months after taking hers out) we should be pregnant.

*just to let you know most insurance companies don't cover it so it could cost about $100+ and you can only get one. At Plan Parenthood it cost $35 a piece and they let you pick up 3 at a time. I've been on NUVA Ring 6 years now and it hasn't failed me yet.

GET OF YAZ!  That stuffs poison. Hope I helped. Have a great day. Good luck xxoo

I just started Yaz 8 days ago at the start of my period. I was supposed to finish my period 2 days ago or so I thought. I have been spotting brown discharge for two days. Had unprotected sex today, am I covered?

Hi there,

The same is happening to me on YAZ. I have been on it for about 7 months and noticed for the past 2 months that I get "break through" bleeding approximately one week after my period has ended. I have also had more headaches than usual...

I have read that it could be that the pill doesn't have sufficient hormones for your body and thus you are not protected as good from pregnancy.

It's so annoying! I think I'm going to change from pill. Good luck and let me know if you have any other ideas / suggestions!
