Hi all I stopped bc in Feb and had no bleeding since. On the 19th July I had brown/black discharge for 4 days. Does this sound like my period? Two weeks after this I had brown discharge could this be ovulation. thanks

Hi there and welcome.  Well, it has been a long time since you've had a period.  In all honesty, I'd have a physical exam by your gynecologist at this point.  It does sound like it is coming back slowly but surely.  The brown and black blood is old blood.  Would make sense that you have some of that.  And your hormones normalizing would probably be the spotting you have had since and what you'll have for a bit more.  I guess it could be spotting due to ovulation but in reality, in all of my years, I don't know anyone that ever really spotted during ovulation.  Kind of a myth thing.  Some women get a bit of a pain/ache at that time (I never have).

You can't currently track your cycles as you haven't normalized at all yet.  If pregnancy isn't desired, use a form of birth control you can count on like condoms.  If you are trying to get pregnant, I guess it could randomly happen but will be more likely when you begin to have steadily, regular periods.  good luck
