CERVICITIS HELP!!!
I started feeling symptoms around christmas time. Dull ache in my uterus during orgasm. Frequent urge to urinate, slight burn with urination. Was concerned i had cervicitis as i have had it in the past. Went to a free clinic, and was told i had a uti. Also had no signs of cervicitis and was tested for stds and it came back negative. Took macrobid for 7 days.
3 days later symptoms were worse. Went to er. Pee test showed no uti, but they treated me with 5 days of cipro anyways. On the last day of cipro, symptoms were worse. Went back to the er. They tested my urin, and did a pelvic exam where they found cervicitis. Prescribed doxycycline 2 a day for 14 days. She wanted to give me a rocephin shot (in case of gonorrhea) but i refused saying i would get it if my test came back positive. All std tests came back negative...even for trichonomas (i think i spelled it right). Today is day 3 of antibiotics and i still have burning with urination. I also still am getting twinging pain in my uterus area. Am i being impatient with this treatment? Or should i be concerned that it isnt working? This is my 4th time taking this antibiotic for cervicitis in 2 years...the last time being 11 months ago. MY ANXIETY IS THRU THE ROOF AND I AM TERRIFIED OF BEING HOSPITALIZED! HELP PLEASE!
