Can I get pregnant on my period?

I had sex with my boyfriend for the first time the other night. I was on the last day of my period. I dont think he came inside me but we were unprotected. I spotted for a few days after that and now i'm wanting to rid the thought in my mind that i might be pregnant. Since i've been on birthcontrol for years is it even possible for me to be pregnant? Please someone help me. My boyfriend and i have been together for 3 years and he was a product of teenage pregnancy. I couldnt get my hads on the morning after pill. I dont want this to ruin our relationship. Please any info is wanted

Anytime you have sex you run a risk of pregnancy. Birth control is not 100% effective, which is why it's always highly recommended you use condoms anytime you have sex as well. It doesn't matter as well if he didn't come inside of you because there's pre-ejaculation (which ALL guys have no matter what they tell you) which can and does contain some sperm. Because you did have it at the tail end of your period, your chances of pregnancy are slim. Most women do not ovulate on their period, and if they're regular it's even less chance. If you want, wait 2-4 weeks, (though if you were pregnant you would get better results waiting till your next period is due) and take a pregnancy test with first morning urine. If you want to avoid pregnancy, always protect yourself. It's not worth the few minutes of pleasure for weeks of worry and stress.

Thank you so much both of you. I really appriciate your advice. I swear it will never happen again. It also stinks because that was our first time and now it isnt as special because we're so worried. I will use protection from now on! Thanks again.

omg yes you can get pregnant on your period. you basically have a chance of getting pregnant whenever u dont use protection.  just because you've been on birth control for years doesn't automatically mean you cant get pregnant.
get a test done then you can stop worrying
