Can doxycycline treat trichomoniasis?

Can doxycycline treat trichomoniasis?

I read it is an antibiotic, and looked up, the ones I have are 100mg, the website said I should take 2-3 a day for 10-14 days. Also I will not be having sex for a month or two since my partners away on business/visiting family.

Also how should I clean myself? I've been wearing a pad and changing them frequently.

People have asked if its trek and I am 99% I don't need a pro test since I know what it is. My symptoms are: yellow/green discharge, at first was yellow but now it's a light yellow/green mix and it is foamy/cottage cheese like, it hurts really bad to wipe or clean down there, it is like a rash or burn especially around the are where I urine. I'm just afraid ill have it forever because some people have said it never goes away.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
Doxycycline may help but there are other antibiotics used more commonly to treat trichomoniasis which include metronidazole mainly. Doxycycline 100 mg 2-3 times a day for 10-14 days is taken usually.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
