Chances?

I've been on birth control (yasmin) for over 4 years now and never missed a dose. I happened to have slipped up recently and missed almost 5 pills. I did have unprotected sex the day before that I started missing these. I called my nurse at my ob/gyn office because I've been experienceing some bleeding. It's very light (in color and amount), much less than the beginnings of a period, and I generally can't tell until I've wiped. Yesterday evening, it seemed to be a little mucous looking as well. The nurse told me to wait until this sunday (said it may even be too soon, and if it comes out negative to wait a week and test again. Just to be certain.)  Could this be some spotting that some women could see with pregnancy? Or could this be just an early miscarriage situation?
Any advice would be wonderful! Thanks in advance!!

Thanks Kim! Basically I'm on two options here, either my body's had a spaz attack due to missing the pills or I'm pregnant. I can surely deal with either. =]

your only using birth control and that has failed on plenty of women, and by you missing 5 pills and happening to have sex around those missed pills really lessens the effectiveness, which i think you know. and it could be anything. no one can really tell you...maybe only time. it could be nothing it could be from birth control or pregnancy wait and see
