Could I be pregnant?

How is it possible to go from having heavy periods all your life to having a extremely light period (spotting)? Could I be pregnant?

If you think there's a strong chance that the test is right, start taking prenatal vitamins and extra folic acid.   Both are available wherever vitamins are sold.  Even a doctor appointment can wait, but the folic acid needs to be in your system right away.

Good luck!!!

Perimenopause can last for ten years.  If you said your period was funky one month only, it might be something else like an ovarian cyst.  But if they are generally a lot lighter, it *could* be a sign that things are simply less hormonal then they used to be.  Take a pregnancy test for sure.

You could be pregnant and you also could be perimenopausal.  Best thing is to take a pregnancy test, and if it is negative, go see your doc and have some bloodwork done to see what's happening in your hormone profile.
