how long after you deliver should you have a period?

I had my son may 13 and bled for 2 weeks after i had him. i havent started my period yet. when should i?

you dont get a period if you are breast feeding the best treatment for endometriosis and your womb contracting slim and back to normal, great for sliming down

Are you breastfeeding?  If you are then it's possible that you may not have a cycle the entire time you are feeding.  It's very individual in this case.

If you aren't breastfeeding then most women get their next cycle within about 6 weeks of birth or after the lochia stops.  If you haven't had a period and you aren't breastfeeding then there's a chance that you could be pregnant if you've had unprotected sex.  It does happen.

It can definitely vary - and if you're breastfeeding, it can take quite a while.  I have a nine month old and I still haven't gotten a period.  So, just enjoy your freedom for now.

i wouldnt worry to much everyone is different makesure u eat plenty fruit and veg some people take a while to get back to normal. try evening primrose oil for a few months to balance your hormones or on a perm basis hope ive helped x

Hi it can take a few months for periods to return to normal after child birth. I didnt get my 1st period until 6weeks after.
