HCG levels

my friend said her HCG levels did not show in a blood test until 7 weeks.
i had unprotected sex about 6 weeks ago. negative blood and urine about a week ago.
i also had unprotected sex a little less then a week after i got my depo shot. so i had sex about two and a half weeks ago.
i'm still having horrible headaches, back pains/cramps, and really weird dreams, and a little nausea.

a also just miscarried in january. i just need answers.

I am guessing it probably is.  I'd follow up with your doctor soon though to ask about when you can expect normal periods to return.  peace and good luck dear

Hi there.  Your friend would be highly highly unusual to not have gotten a positive pregnancy test until 7 weeks.  That is very atypical!!  Most urine tests work within a couple days of a misssed period.  And blood tests show even sooner.  I am thinking that your friend was wrong about her conception date!!  I would bet my right arm on that.

So, anyway------  how late are you for your period?

The way a woman's cycle works is that day one of your period is day one of your cycle.  You begin counting from there.  Most women ovulate mid cycle which on average is around day 14 and there is a 24 to 48  hour window that the egg can be fertilized to cause pregnancy.  Days 10 through 20 are the most fertile days for the average women.  Do you have any idea how long your cycles usually are?  How many days?  A doctor will ask you the date of your last period.

Your hormones could be all out of whack with a miscarriage, new hormone added via shot for conception, etc.

If your period doesn't show soon, go back to the doctor.  good luck
