HELP!

So its been a rough week, first I realised my clitoris and labia minora was itching a little and I realised I had lapsed in my eating. I had a serious candy binge without drinking enough water, so I started chugging Cranberry juice like it was no one's business. Then my god awful period started, I have period pains that rival most, so I've been taking Advils and Parcetmols like crazy as well, topped with being allergic to the Always Infinity so I eneded up with contact dermatitis. I've swapped to Stayfree and Im using Summer's Eve cleansing wipes and A & D ointment for the rash. My question is could taking these painkillers make my itching worse? or even be the cause? Is there anyone else who has had the allergic reaction to a certain brand of pads and what methods do you use to prevent or cure it? Tampons are kinda out of the question because of the severity of my menstrual cramps, I cant even touch anywhere below my navel without adding to my pain.

Sounds like there could be two causes for the itching- an infection (I'm specficially thinking yeast infection) and an allergic reaction. The painkillers should have no effect on the itchiness unless you're allergic to them- and you would probably know before now.

It's extremely hard to tell what kind of discharge you have during your period and the symptoms are similar to an allergic reaction (pain, irritation, itchiness, swelling). However, in my experience a reaction will go away after a couple days of the cause being removed. So if this feeling only gets worse or sticks around more than a week- I think you might want to talk to your dr. It might be a yeast infection and if it is the candy binge could be a cause. If it is, I suggest you get a fasting blood glucose done. Sometimes undiagnosed diabetes can cause yeast infections. Yeast infections are extremely common so no stress, but it's something to watch out for.

However, you've been using several things that would kill me so an allergy is a real possibility. I'm very allergic to fragrance so things like summer's eve? Oh HECK NO! Always is my go to brand, but if I mistakenly grab the one with fragrance I'll wish I've never been born. An allergy down there is extremely painful and uncomfortable. I usually combat it with antihistamines if its really bad. And a diaper rash cream for topical swelling, itchiness and irritation. Usually it goes away after 2-3 days. Or at least stops being so painful. Honestly though, speaking from personal experience, wait about at least a week to have sex if it's a really bad reaction.

thanks for the advice! I got everything cleared up, rash and yeast infection. trying to stay away from the candy, its really hard though. I'll try to watch my diet and make sure I keep on track. As far as the allergy to Always goes, it was always my go to brand; i used them from my first period, its really weird that I got allergic to them after 8 years lol but thats life. Its good to know im not the only one who has these issues. thanks again for you help :)
