Um, I am not doing this. But my sister is having large fist size blood clots coming out on her period. I was told that small blood clots are normal but she was worried because they are HUGE!!!! what do you think the problem is?

and to answer the question i passed two bloodclots the size of tennis balls, i was on my own at the time so i rung NHS helpline (im in england btw) and they told me not to worry unless i got a temperature or pain.

This is ridiculous. Nobody that is passing HUGE blood clots is going to go on a forum and ask about bleeding profusely.  They would go to the ER.  Right after I had my oldest daughter I passed 12 humongous bloodclots and than blood spurted up like a geyser between my legs.  I almost died and had to have blood transfusions for three days.  I guess I should have gotten on a forum and the wrong one at that to get advice instead. Man, this nonsense is getting old.

BO: Since you didn't sign your name I won't use it. They deleted my other answer.

Rosalie,
This is the ovarian cancer forum. So we talk about ovarian cancer. Most of us have not had a period for quite some time.
There is a womens health forum that you might want to check out. You will come closer to getting your question answered there than here.
