You can go ahead and test.  I'm just guessing that you are late though hon.  You used protection.  Go ahead and test in a few days using first morning's urine.  good luck

You should still be cautious, but before you worry yourself too much just remember that periods can be very fickle for a ton of different reasons.  Sex gets your hormones going crazy, and a change in hormones *can* cause a change in your period.

For example, it's pretty normal for me to have a streak of 3 or 4 months that my period comes on the 25th of the month give or take a few days. Randomly the next month it'll start on the 15th, or even the 5th of the next month. I've even had a month that I just never got my period (and I was still a virgin at that point).

Every one is different, so as I said, still be cautious. but just know that periods have a mind of their own. It's not unusual for them to change their timings from month to month.

I still haven't gotten my period so I took a pregnancy test and it showed that I'm not pregnant. Is there a certain need of days that I should wait to do it again if I don't get my period soon

Hi there and welcome.  Well, it is fantastic that you use protection when having sex.  I love to hear when young women are responsible like that!  Periods can be late due to many factors including stress, weight gain or loss, changes in routine, illness, etc.  So, give it another week.  If it still doesn't show, you can take a pregnancy test (bought at drug store) to reassure yourself that your period is just late.  Take care and keep using that protection!  good luck
