Copious amount of watery vaginal discharge; any help?

I'm 17, no children, and I've only ever had sex with my one partner (who is also a female). We're both lesbians who have never even kissed someone other than each other. I just wanted to preface this explanation with that, so we know there's no chance of pregnancy or - as far as I know - of us passing an STI to each other.

Recently I've been experiencing  the release of copious amounts of watery discharge from my vagina. It's happened twice today; it feels like my period started very suddenly, but when I go to the washroom I just find a lot of said discharge. It's mostly clear with only the slightest white colour, and no strong odor. It's very slightly sticky, but not viscous at all; it's thin enough to drip.

This has never happened before, and I'm unsure whether it could be a symptom of an infection or just a strange-but-natural change. I'll likely get a doctor's appointment if it continues, but I'd like some advice/idea of what I might be dealing with beforehand; yeast infection, bacterial vaginosis, etc.?
