HI, I would'nt worry it's prob thrush or an infection which are very common in women, not caught by intercourse and can be cleared up easily, thrush produces a discharge that is creamy white and is very ichy and sore usually doesnt smell or it could be the other infection I forget the name, which is smelly and happens when we get run down or stressed out quite normal really, antibiotics will clear it up from your g.p. with thrush you will need a swab taken at the doctors to check it is that and will either get given a pessary and cream or a tablet to take by mouth both are very good at clearing up the infection, pls go and see a doctor or womens clinic, best of luck.

Yeast infection.  You can buy WONDERFUL over the counter 3 day cures to help you out.  I know they are terrible to go through.  The doc can also give you a small pill that you put into your vagina that works wonders.  Best of luck to you.

From my experience, it sounds like you have a yeast infection.  My first yeast infection was horribly itchy, red, and irritating all over my vaginal area and they can smell something like fish.  And you may or may not see a milky discharge.  I've had a few yeast infections and haven't always seen a discharge. To make sure, you should see a doctor.  They can usually tell right away if it is a yeast infection and yeast infections are easy to treat.  And, yeast infections don't mean you're not taking care of yourself.  They can be caused by many reasons to include a shift in your hormones, stress, or even your sexual partner and yes if they are male.  Men often carry yeast infections but they don't display the symptoms so they would be unaware. Again, though, if this is the first time you've experienced this, you should see a doctor to make sure.
