Is it cause to worry?

Is it reason to worry to see a little blood a few days or a week before period comes in?  I'm 42--- could hormones or my age b a factor?  Last pap was normal.  Also I do dance aerobics etc....but could stand to lose weight.  Should I be worried?

You are at that age where perimenopause starts.  Our periods just start to get erratic.  I get spotting in between and my periods can they come sooner than normal.  I also went 7 weeks between one so oddities are normal but you aren't officially in menopause until you have missed your period for a year its just in our 40s things start to go a little off.  It's normal.
