Labium Minor tear uhhhh :(

Okay this is embarrassing....haha okay well i was getting ready to take a shower and i noticed something hanging out of the "lips" of my vagina. I noticed the left side of the labium minor had been torn about and inch to half an inch from the back....it does not hurt me at all but i would like to know if it will heal on its own? do i need to get it checked out? will it affect me?

Hi,
It's not bleeding is it?  If it's bleeding excessively I'd get it checked out by a doctor.  Otherwise, I'd just try and keep the area clean and dry and keep an eye on it, see how it goes day to day.  And don't have intercourse right now, it may tear more.  It should heal on it's own. Good luck!
