For a few weeks I've had intermittent lower left abdominal pain just above my hip, it started at first while peeing but is beginning to lessen. There is no stinging when passing water. My periods have disappeared to literally just a bit of spotting every couple of weeks (then again I have a new Nexplanon implant, was put in in March. Noticed they've been lighter since that. I feel well in myself, when I say pain it's more just a pressure sensation.
Seen GP, urine test was clear, not pregnant, have been referred for ultrasound scans by him.
I'm a worrier and I'm trying to pick apart the dialogue of the appointment. His first suggestion was 'watchful waiting' before scans but I said I have a physical job so best to have scan and get sorted and back on my feet. Being an idiot I asked 'how likely is cancer?' He said 'not at the top of my list'. No palpable mass on examination and I'm still working, the sensation isn't getting worse, in fact it seems to be improving and any twinge is resolved by pushing on the area gently. I'm not sure what to think but could hernia or ovarian cyst be a possibility?
